Floor & Table Management

Seat more without rushing anyone.

Bookings & Floor

The evening this is about

The floor plan lives in the head of whoever is running the shift. That works, right up until that person is on holiday, or the shift is busier than usual, or two of them are running it at once and each has a different plan for table 12.

  • Two servers seat two parties at the same table within a minute of each other.
  • The eight o'clock walks in and nobody can say which table was being held for them.
  • A table has been sitting with the bill for twenty minutes and the next booking is outside in the rain.
  • The new server does not know that table 4 is actually two tables.

What it actually does

  • Shows the room as it is — your tables, in your layout, with what is on each one right now.
  • Ties every booking to a real table, so a held table looks held to everyone.
  • Shows how long a table has been sitting and at what stage, so the next seating is a fact and not a hope.
  • Lets you join and split tables the way you actually do it on a Saturday.

The detail that matters

This is the tool the rest of the evening leans on. Bookings, orders and the bill all hang off which table a guest is on, so when the floor plan is right the till is right, the kitchen screen is right and the revenue report is right. When it is wrong, all three are wrong and nobody can tell you why.

What it does not do

  • It does not decide your seating for you. Who goes where is a judgement about people, and it stays yours.
  • It is not a reason to cut a person from the floor. It is a reason for the person on the floor to stop re-drawing the room on a napkin.

We would rather you read this before the call than find out after.

Where it sits

Reservations, the floor plan and the end of no-shows. Floor & Table Management is one of three tools in Bookings & Floor, and it runs on the same guest, booking and menu data as the rest of the Suite — so nothing is typed in twice.

Fifteen minutes, no slides.

Tell us how your venue runs and we will say plainly whether Floor & Table Management helps — and which two or three tools to start with.
