The evening this is about

Software for a venue breaks at the only time it matters — Saturday at eight, mid-service, with a full room. A support system that answers on Monday is not support; it is correspondence.

  • The till stops and the support line opens at nine on Monday.
  • The first reply is a form asking which product you are using.
  • The person answering has never worked a service and asks you to try again later.
  • Nobody can tell you whether it is you, the internet, or them.

What it actually does

  • Answers the same day, every day — including the days when it matters most.
  • Is answered by someone who knows what service is and will not ask you to restart anything at eight on a Saturday.
  • Says plainly whether a problem is ours, yours, or your connection.
  • Fixes the cause afterwards, so the same call does not come twice.

The detail that matters

It is worth being exact about this rather than printing a number. Today this is one person who answers the same day, seven days a week, and who has spent thirty years in kitchens and dining rooms. It is not a rota of engineers around the clock, and it would be dishonest to write 24/7 on it until it is.

What it does not do

  • It is not a guaranteed response time in minutes. When there is a contract with numbers in it, the numbers will be in the contract.
  • It does not cover your hardware, your internet or your electricity — though it will help you work out which one of them it was.

We would rather you read this before the call than find out after.

Fifteen minutes, no slides.

Tell us how your venue runs and we will say plainly whether Care & Support helps — and which two or three tools to start with.
