The evening this is about
Most of what a guest wants to know is written down somewhere in your venue — opening hours, whether the terrace is covered, what the kids eat, how far the car park is. It just is not written down anywhere they can reach at half past ten at night, so they ask a person, and the person is carrying plates.
- Someone opens your site at 22:40 with one question, gets no answer, and books the place that answered.
- The same four questions come in every evening and every one costs a staff member ninety seconds.
- A guest asks about gluten and gets an answer from whoever happened to pick up — which is not always the same answer.
- Half your enquiries are in a language nobody on shift reads comfortably.
What it actually does
- Answers on your own site, in the language the guest opened with, at any hour.
- Answers only from what you gave it — your menu, your hours, your rules — not from the open internet.
- Takes the booking at the end of the conversation instead of telling the guest to phone you.
- Hands over to a person the moment the question stops being routine, and says so plainly rather than guessing.
- Shows you every question it was asked, including the ones it could not answer — that list is what you fix next.
The detail that matters
You approve every answer before a guest ever sees it. The assistant is not let loose on your venue to improvise; it is filled with what you tell it and it says "I will get someone" for everything else. Being unable to answer is a normal outcome, not a failure — the failure is a confident wrong answer about an allergen.
What it does not do
- It does not invent anything it was not told — if your menu does not record which dishes contain celery, neither will it.
- It does not replace the person on the floor. It replaces the phone ringing during service.
We would rather you read this before the call than find out after.
Where it sits
The assistant on your site, your phone and WhatsApp. AI Concierge is one of three tools in AI Assistants, and it runs on the same guest, booking and menu data as the rest of the Suite — so nothing is typed in twice.
Fifteen minutes, no slides.
Tell us how your venue runs and we will say plainly whether AI Concierge helps — and which two or three tools to start with.
